## Description

ORIGINAL OVAL-8 FINGER SPLINT: Made in the USA and designed with 3-points of pressure and an open air design the Oval-8 is the preferred finger splint for Occupational and Hand Therapists. Extremely light and comfortable, the Original Oval-8 Finger Splints support and protect your fingers to help heal injuries and problems caused by Arthritis and other conditions. It effectively treats over 6 finger conditions including Arthritis, Trigger Finger or Trigger Thumb, Mallet Finger, Swan Neck, Hypermobility (EDS) and Crooked or Broken Fingers. Single size packages are perfect for those who know their size or want the convenience of having more than one splint. A Sizing Set and Graduated Sets of 3 sizes are sold separately for those trying Oval-8 Finger Splints for the first time. SIZING: Choosing the correct Oval-8 size can be affected by swelling, temperature or by how precisely the measurement is made. To choose a size likely to fit your finger, wrap a tailor’s measuring tape around the finger joint you are treating. Pull lightly so the tape conforms smoothly around your finger. Use the sizing chart to find the size(s) closest to your measurement. The difference between sizes is very small and you may need more than one size for an accurate fit. The difference in circumference from one size to the next is only 1/16” to 1/8” and can be affected by minor swelling or by how the splint is worn. The sizing method described is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate for all fingers. Oval-8 Finger Splints may need to be adjusted by a healthcare provider trained in fitting splints for the most successful treatment.NOTE: Oval-8 Finger Splints are not recommended for children under the age of 4 as they may cause choking if swallowed. Review: Surprisingly effective - I suffer from trigger finger and arthritic thumb pain. The trigger finger and thumb pain both seem exacerbated by sleep "activity" (clinching?). Wearing these at night greatly reduces incidents of locked fingers. They are surprisingly comfortable; I stop realizing I have them on within minutes. They rarely fall off unless sized too big. I have been using open finger glove type braces for my thumb. Over time, the band, on the glove, that rides between the thumb and index finger causes sores (very slow to heal!), probably due to rubbing (oddly, only happens on one hand). So, I decided to try these "3-pointers" on my thumb. Seem to be working well. Sizing for thumb was slight problem as my thumb needs a size 16 and these only go to size 15, but, although a little tight, not causing any problem. These are not really wearable during the day as they really do immobilize the finger/thumb. Sizing is very important and can be tricky. Ring size generally works, but I've purchased enough of these so I've gotten a good sense of how they fit. They seem a bit pricy for a tiny bit of molded plastic, but for the amount of pain relief they provide, worth every penny.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Splint!

Don't do reviews to often but for this splint it is a" life Saver". As wore the black splits they are great too but when I cook bath etc can't wear those when you have to get your hands wet. With my trigger finger pretty much had to leave it bent til done. This product I wear it all the time now as its plastic and can get wet. This splint stays on comfortable, great sizing was good for me. Can move tip of finger a "little" but for me that is ok as my problem is with the middle joint. I will be order more for extra in case I loss this one. Can't believe what a little piece of plastic can do to make my life better now. I thought it was pricy but changed my mind on that. Highly recommend but need to get the size right so use chart they offer.
