First off, I work in IT and this was still a bit daunting of a concept, how well would it really work, etc. I was amazed that I was able to set it up in about 5 minutes (probably less). We have an old TV in our basement and my kids constantly leave it on by falling asleep or just leaving it on. After banging my head against the wall over and over I said I have to try this and I am SO Glad I did. I plugged my 50" old plasma into this outlet once setup (instructions are simple) and I can kill power to it and it's off. The best part (that I was weary of) was: If I turn the power back on in the app, will the TV come on? Thankfully It doesn't so it solved the problem perfectly. I will be getting more for sure! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five Stars *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2018* Awesome buy oneVertical design and 15A load Smart Plug.You may not realize that a vertical design smart plug gives you more room on your socket on your house until you see it and use it.I already have some Smart Plugs from TP-LINK HS105 and Wemo but this is the first vertical design of the smart plug on Amazon and a much better deal for Wi-Fi Alexa (Amazon Echo) enabled outlets. There is no annoying setup and issues connecting to Wi-Fi. One thing I like the instructions are better because it has a bigger fonts so you don't need a magnifier at all LOL. The App is simple too and the setup took me only 5 minutes including the Alexa setup. I have to say their instructiomal video also helps.Amazon Alexa setup instructions were not included but simple.1. Open Amazon Alexa App on your phone2. Search for "smart life" and enable3. Go to Alexa Smart Home section and Discover DeviceThat's it, say the words "Alexa turn on device name" or "Alexa turn off device name."The other thing that made me buy it was it has a 15A load which is important as a Fire Fighter friend recommended. I did some research before I bought it. Some unpleasant pics of plastic melting, a little bit scary. Most of the smart plugs in the market place have 10A but you need to BE CAREFUL when using this with HIGH Amp appliances. Lower load could cause a burnt out of the device even start a fire. You never want to see your appliances sent off sparks and smoke in your home.I will come back with more details after I use it.So far I am happy with it! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Very poor directions *by J***D on Reviewed in the United States on December 29, 2018* First, the directions say wait until they're is a rapid green light blink (2 times/sec). I never saw a green light despite following their directions on what to do to see one. I saw a blue light that was blinking 1/sec. I have up and went on. At the end of the directions it told what the colors meant and blue was not listed. I assume that they changed the color of the light and didn't update their directions.Second, the directions say download the "Smart Life" App. When I search the Android store at least 4 come up that include Smart Life. None corresponded to the manufacturer's name. I downloaded several but they did not match the directions.
