In 1888, the year the Football League was established, over 3000 pubs and bars were serving hot cups of Bovril. In 1902, Captain Scott and Ernest Shackleton celebrated Christmas Day with a Bovril drink. In 1936 Bovril extract and milk was a popular drink! Add a teaspoon of Bovril paste to a glass of hot milk and stir. Product formulations may vary and consumers should always check the actual product label. Ingredients Beef broth (58%) (water, beef bones, salt), yeast extract (27%) [yeast (contains BARLEY, WHEAT, OATS, CENTENE), salt], water, coloring (ammonia caramel), corn starch, beef powder (1%), aromas (contain celery), flavor enhancers (disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate), acid (lactic acid).
