Cleaning them out with rubbing alcohol followed by a light wipe of some sort of silicone-based lubricant would be much cheaper and ultimately, probably more effective overall, though if the actual electrical contacts are really bad, it would be helpful to use DeoxIt specifically on those - but don't waste it wiping out the whole socket with the stuff. Obviously, you should flip the breaker or remove the fuse before working on a chandelier no matter what you're doing with it. **Q: Has anyone tried using this stuff to clean pcbs such as pc motherboards or pcm/ecm modules on a car?** A: Absolutely... I have used this cleaner for years to clean PCBs and motherboards and it does an excellent job. If you are looking at connectors that has a little corrosion or debris on them then yes.
