My little Westie Jack has some, what shall we say , um strange phobias and I never know whether someone or something , another dog etc , will frighten him and cause him & me stress trying apologise for the snapping or barking , the spinning around on his lead thing or indeed the Houdinini like ability to escape from any type of harness or collar ! I have often been seen exiting a conversaton with another dog walker very rudely as Mr Jack has yet again taken offence and escaped from his harness or alternately had to avoid a dog and his owner who is "safe " because again Mr Jack has decided not to like that dog or person on that particular day ! Very embarrassing , stressful and,even though I can talk for Wales , I get really fed up with having to apologise & explain myself and my dogs irrational behaviour . So now its down to the approaching doggy people whether they talk or not as all I have to do is point at the bright yellow harness with the obvious "nervous " wording and I am totally releived of all my obligations as another dog owner - good for days when you`ve had an argument with husband , kids etc or just feel anti-social as you often do when youre menopausal - me , not the dog obviously !! Thanks.** A: Well seeing as ours broke after a few uses and nearly killed my dog , beside a main road and he's a collie ..I wouldn't even consider a lab in one ..the workmanship is shoddy .. **Q: What size harness would I need for a minature dachshund weight 4.3kg please** A: The two sizes you would be looking at are the X-Small and the Small. I would suggest the Small, and if it did not fit then it could be exchanged for a X-Small. **Q: Will this fit to a cavachon dog?** A: I’m not sure, I got small which fits my miniature schnauzer x so will depend on the size of your cavachon. I’ve had this 2 years now and it holds out well, no frays etc, it also washes really well and is easy to fit, one part goes over the dogs head then the adjustable strap round their girth. The idea is great though . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Informs on temprement *by I***S on 2 May 2026* 2nd purchase very good harness padded for comfort high visibility ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Too small *by K***. on 10 June 2020* It looked great and even though the photo shows an English Bull Terrier breed wearing one, even the largest available a large was too small for my dog a staffy mix, he is just a little smaller in stature and length than a labrador and a little bit more rotund. There was plenty of room in the girth (the adjustable strap that went around his middle). The neck was just too small about another 2 inches needed and was a tight fit over his head, more difficult to remove than to put on.
