We had to go over it a few times but once you get the hang of it, it is good. For larger areas you will need to charge the batteries a few times. It was my first time attempting to cultivate a hard soil and I had no experience. Soil in my dog park is mainly clay and I wanted to sow some grass. Can fit in boot of car so handy for allotment holders . I think the ground needs digging first before . then use the rotavator to break up the soil afterwards.
