Review: Better than expected. Great value! - Fits perfectly. Sturdy enough to withstand wind gusts on our 9th floor NYC terrace. It allows us to enjoy our terrace in the afternoon sun. Nice color and design. Mechanically easy to operate and assemble.
Review: Chic and Shady - Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for my 12’x8’ balcony. I get lots of morning/afternoon sun that was killing a couple of my plants and making it uncomfortable to enjoy my balcony in the AZ summer. We aren’t allowed to put up curtains on the balcony at our apartment so this was the next best alternative. I love that this doesn’t take up extra space on the ground by needing a base- this holds up well on the bars. It’s aesthetically pleasing, it matches perfectly with the balcony colors, the price was right and very pleased with it. I am not sure about wind or pressure during major storms so I will be sure to just close the umbrella (probably safer do that anyway.) overall it is very sturdy and not cheap looking. When I received the package I was excited to put it together. I was very confused to see the parts that came with it. It didn’t look like any of the other items I saw on the site or from the reviews which confused the heck out of me. Maybe it’s a different vendor or they updated the product design for balconies. I had to look for competitors who eventually had the same product I owned that cost more but it helped me figure out how to set this thing up! Either way, I was disappointed with what I received cause event the instructions confused the heck out of me. Eventually after about 45-50 minutes we figured out how to maneuver the device to make it work. I do recommend having power tools to make the screws tight. The screws stick out a bit from the outside but it may be to adjust to different types of balcony bar widths I’m guessing. Once this was set up my husband and I were very pleased so I do recommend getting one for your condo/ apartment!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I bought this for my 12’x8’ balcony.
