The first thing that stands out is the exceptional build quality. Wiha has a reputation for manufacturing premium tools, and this product is no exception. The materials, machining, and overall fit and finish are outstanding. It feels like a professional-grade tool despite its compact size. Another major advantage is its excellent compatibility. It works seamlessly with a wide variety of bits and accessories, making it an incredibly versatile addition to any toolbox. Whether you're working on electronics, household repairs, mechanical projects, or general maintenance tasks, it integrates easily into existing tool collections. Portability is where this tool really shines. It's small, lightweight, and easy to carry, making it ideal for keeping in a toolbox, backpack, vehicle, or even a drawer at home. Despite its compact dimensions, it delivers the functionality you need without taking up valuable space. I also think the price is quite reasonable considering the quality you're getting. There are certainly cheaper alternatives available, but few can match the precision, durability, and overall user experience that Wiha provides. What I appreciate most is that it's the type of tool you end up reaching for far more often than expected. It's practical, reliable, and useful in countless situations. Final Verdict: The Wiha 74984 is a high-quality, highly portable, and extremely versatile tool that deserves a place in virtually every toolkit. Whether you're a professional technician or a DIY hobbyist, it's one of those purchases that quickly proves its value. Would I buy it again? Without hesitation. In fact, I would consider it an essential tool for anyone who enjoys DIY projects, repairs, or simply appreciates having the right tool available when needed. Review: A Good EDC with a Caveat - Background: I have a Wera Tool-Check Plus, which is too big for me to put in my pockets for EDC with other items. I also, rarely use sockets to justify to carry extra weight. I wanted a good EDC screwdriver and wrench system with commonly used heads, plus easy to carry on a commercial plane. It was competition between this and Wera's https://a.co/d/c7Aijwi, with 10 bit set. This one won due to Wiha's quality and more heads at a price lower than the Wera's, despite of me being a "Wera-hore" as my significant other calls me. I added my Wera 813R ESD as the screwdriver for the EDC to supplement this kit. Pros: 1. Very compact. Measures about 5 inches long and about 1.5 inches thick. It easily fits my pants (both jeans and cargo) or shorts right pocket along with the 813R screwdriver and Knipex Cobra 6-inch pliers, Leatherman Squirt PS4 multitool and Skeletool knife. The pocket does not look overly filled nor do the tools stick to my hips like a colony of leeches. 2. Good quality. This tool is robust and well made. Based on my experience, I believe Wera has better quality, finish, packaging and presentation, and durability at a higher price, compared to Wiha. Whether that "value" is better, only you can answer that. 3. Versatility. This has a good assortment of bits, a nice extension piece, and a very good ratchet. It basically satisfies my needs while being outdoors, riding my bike, or performing work around the house. Coupled with the screwdriver, it gives me additional flexibility and capability. 4. Workability. You can add a good amount of force and torque to move some of the tight pesky screws without any issues. The extension really helps with getting that additional driving force. Being small, it can work around tight spaces and unreachable areas. Cons: 1. Weight. This is heavy. It does lug around some. I did not measure the actual weight, but it does seem to pull down on pockets which do not have additional lining reinforcements. 2. Packaging. As mentioned earlier, Wiha saves costs with packaging in ho-hum ways. This can lead to packages getting damaged (see the last picture). It was the first one I ordered, which was missing the most important tool - the ratchet. desertcart's handling has quality issues. Had to return it. The second unit shows decent packaging, but not nearly as good as Wera has beautiful boxes for its units. 3. The ratchet direction switch is easy to move with your thumb on it with little or no pressure, without noticing it. I had multiple times, only to realize why the screw wasn't tightening. This can be a major flaw if you are working on a critical work. The Wera's direction switch is much smaller and requires more pressure, that you cannot accidentally bump it. Comparison: For comparison, I have shown the Wera's ratchet and extension with Wiha's. While Wera's ratchet is similar, the quality and feel of it feels better. The extension for Wera is stubbier and smaller. The unhooking mechanism feels better than Wiha's. Again, for the price and usage, it was not a concern to justify paying higher. Bottomline: This is a good EDC set for taking around with good versatility and quality at a very good price (<$30). I hope to keep it for a long time unless my priorities change or I lose it. I will give it a 4.7/5.0. ## Features - Steel - PRECISE, LONG-LASTING ENGAGEMENT: Exact-fit precision machined tips reduce cam-out, and computer-controlled heat treatment extends bit life on every job - COVERS NEARLY ANY FASTENER ON SITE: Phillips, slotted, square, torx, metric hex and SAE hex bits are all included in one thirty-two piece set - WORKS WITH BITS AND SOCKETS ALIKE: The universal 1/4 inch hex to 1/4 inch square drive lets the ratchet accept both driver bits and standard sockets - SMOOTH RATCHETING IN TIGHT SPACES: A seventy-two tooth ratchet with a five degree arc swing and fast-action thumb lever keeps you working in cramped areas - ORGANIZED, PORTABLE STORAGE: A custom-fit molded tray inside a pocket-sized metal case keeps every bit secure and easy to find ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C5FXSBHL | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,041 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #39 in Screwdriver Bit Sets | | Bit Compatibilities | Ratchet | | Bit Set Composition | Bit Set | | Bit Tip Configuration | Standard Tip | | Brand | Wiha | | Brand Name | Wiha | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,005 Reviews | | Drive Bit Shank Style | 1/4 Hex Shank | | Drive End Style | Hex Shank | | Drive System | Hex, Phillips, Slotted, Square, Torx | | Finish Type | Brushed | | Finish Types | Brushed | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00084705749846 | | Included Components | Tools | | Item Highlight | Phillips, slotted, square, torx, metric and SAE hex bits; universal drive; heat-treated tips; metal case | | Item Type Name | 32 Piece GoBox Standard Bit Set with Mini Ratchet | | Manufacturer | Wiha | | Manufacturer Part Number | 74984 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Consumables not covered under warranty (Bits, Tweezers, Ceramic Drivers) | | Material | Blend | | Material Type | Blend | | Model Number | 74984 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 32 | | Set Name | Standard + Mini Ratchet Set, 32 piece | | UPC | 084705749846 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Wiha - **Drive System:** Hex, Phillips, Slotted, Square, Torx - **Finish Type:** Brushed - **Material:** Blend - **Number of Pieces:** 32 ## Images ![Wiha 74984 Standard Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet, 32 Piece - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71lCsNj86CL.jpg) ![Wiha 74984 Standard Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet, 32 Piece - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71qLIW90NOL.jpg) ![Wiha 74984 Standard Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet, 32 Piece - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/712t9E-fHgL.jpg) ![Wiha 74984 Standard Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet, 32 Piece - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/815xXrp+iwL.jpg) ![Wiha 74984 Standard Screwdriver Bit Set with Mini Ratchet, 32 Piece - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/811BVIdgBqL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Set** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Do the bits snap into place or is it just the magnet that holds them in? I am talking about the actual wrench, not the extension.** A: Just a magnet. It is strong enough to hold the 6" Wiha sockets in place. I have been working on motors over the water and the magnet, instead of catch has actually been really nice since I can add, or remove the ratch with one hand. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Tiny Tool with Premium Quality – A Must-Have for Every DIY Enthusiast or everyone *by C***A on June 8, 2026* Review: The Wiha 74984 is one of those tools that may look simple at first glance, but after using it, you quickly realize how well-designed and useful it actually is. It’s small, well put together, and the bits seem tough and reliable. What I like: Super Compact: The whole set fits in a little metal box, so it’s easy to throw in a bag or toolbox. Great for quick fixes or tight spots. Lots of Bits: It comes with 32 different bits—Phillips, flathead, Torx, hex, and more. Pretty much everything you’d need for small jobs. Feels Durable: The ratchet and bits feel solid, not cheap or flimsy. What I don’t love: Tiny Ratchet: The ratchet itself is really small. If you’ve got big hands like me, it might feel awkward to use. It’s fine for light work, but don’t expect to crank down hard with it. A Bit Pricey: For the size, it’s not the cheapest set out there. But the quality helps make up for that. Bottom Line: This is a great little set for quick jobs or working in tight spaces. If your hands are on the larger side or you need something with more grip power, you might want to look at a bigger ratchet. Still, it’s well-made and super handy to have around. ## Frequently Bought Together - Wiha 74984 32 Piece GoBox Standard Bit Set with Mini Ratchet - Wiha 75958 Piece GoBox Precision Micro Bit Set - Wiha 74958 32 Piece GoBox Security Bit Set with Mini Ratchet --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/533045225-wiha-74984-standard-screwdriver-bit-set-with-mini-ratchet-32](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/533045225-wiha-74984-standard-screwdriver-bit-set-with-mini-ratchet-32) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-20*
