We used these for our scouts three day hike in our local mountains and everyone loved them. The Breakfasts taste great and within a few minutes of adding the hot water we had great food. I added a little less water than the instructions said so I wouldn't have any excess liquid and they were perfect.They are also more filling than you would expect for one packet. We were all worried we would be hungry as the scouts were all 14-18 years old and each packet more than fed a single person. Plenty of calories to give you the needed strength after a long hike. They are also light weight so they worked great for our long hike.Most importantly, they taste really good. I am a food lover, so was a bit worried about freeze dried food, but I was pleasantly surprised and found myself excited for the next meal.I highly recommend the Mountain House meals for both your outdoor adventures and also food storage. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Found new way to eat an already good breakfast... *by D***D on May 23, 2017* I use about an oz less water than what the meal calls for and allow it to sit for about 15 minutes before eating. I do not like water with my eggs so that tends to cook it exactly as I like it. This is actually a really good breakfast. The ham and peppers re-hydrate perfectly. My daughter discovered a new way to eat it and I know this sounds gross but it is really tasty. Pour in the boiling water stir good and let it stand about 10 minutes, pour in a small single size of Frito's, stir and close the bad for another 5 mins. The corn chips add some additional flavor to the eggs and soak up a more of the water without becoming soggy. She got me to try it this way and now I am hooked..LOL. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hurricane Matthew approved *by A***G on October 7, 2016* Woke up with no electric so I figured why not try this? Fired up my propane stove, heated water, removed the little funky absorber thingie, followed directions and viola! First off, I was impressed!. Plenty food (I couldn't finish off package so I could see this as 1 1/2 - 2 servings. Remember to drain off the excess water (in directions. I did stir/mix it up before and after adding the water. The flavor was really good. The texture was a little weird at first but not as funky as I'd expected. I'd leave it sit a little longer than the directions suggested as mine really got better after it sat a bit longer. I'd surely buy this again for my hurricane stash and for camping/backpacking.
