This does take willingness to learn, note taking, and reading if you want to use this as a DIY car mechanic tool. This is not a problem solver, it’s a tool. One of many you will need to work on your car If you aren’t willing to do the mentioned above, this will most likely not save you any money This was extremely easy to use, has a great user interface via the app. I did purchase the extras for my specific vehicle. Totally worth every penny. Don’t bother spending extra money on a more expensive diagnostics tool unless you are getting the multi thousand dollar tools from snap on etc
Review: works great - connects promptly via WiFi - just make sure you're plugging it into the correct port - This Foseal OBDII Scan Tool does exactly what it says - it plugs into the OBDII port in your vehicle, provides a private WiFi connection to your Smartphone, and allows you to use any of many compatible OBD apps to analyze vehicle data, performance stats, fault codes, and even (if the app allows) reset / clear errant fault codes (eg. O2 sensors in performance vehicles). On my iPhone, using the outstanding OBD Fusion app, the Foseal scan tool connected quickly, showed all vehicle data, and allowed fault code resets as promised. Of course - since this provides a private WiFi connection, if you want to watch vehicle performance while driving (RPMs, etc) then you won't have network connectivity for your other apps, streaming music, etc. This is just a limitation on how these WiFi scanners work. It's also why they are less-expensive and more reliable than their Bluetooth counterparts. In my vehicle, there are 2 "OBDII" ports - one of them is a standard OBDII port, and the other is reserved for the proprietary manufacturer diagnostic harness. If your vehicle has more than one port, make sure you connect this to the correct OBDII port, or it will not connect (even if the light is powered on).

This Foseal OBDII Scan Tool does exactly what it says - it plugs into the OBDII port in your vehicle, provides a private WiFi connection to your Smartphone, and allows you to use any of many compatible OBD apps to analyze vehicle data, performance stats, fault codes, and even (if the app allows) reset / clear errant fault codes (eg. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Inexpensive and worked well after fast, prompt shipment

My scanner arrived ahead of promised time and in good working order. The literature is scarce so I needed to play with it for a while before getting it communicating with my android phone. Unfortunately my two cars, a Mazda hatchback and a Hyundai Santa Fe receive the scanner with its lights in the wrong direction so I could not see them blinking without doing some acrobatics. Other than this issue and the too-little literature the scanner worked well and as advertised. You can watch a few You Tube videos for more information. Quick hints that may help you: after downloading and installing the app (torque for android) on your phone, open it and go to the Settings, then to Adapter settings, then Connection and make sure it is on WiFi (mine was in Bluetooth when I first checked). Turn your car's engine on and stick the scanner in the port (American cars made after 1996 should have it). After a short while the scanner connected and was communicating with my phone. You may need to spend a little time with the software and maybe online to learn its features. Overall, a good little device that does not cost much but can help take the guessing out of any issues and save a bit of money.
