Review: Functionally Sound, Aesthetically Left Wanting More - Functionally these make a great pair of oven gloves, they offer good heat resistance on the mitts and the arm covers have prevented nasty burns on a couple of occasions taking cast iron cookware out of a hot oven. So they’re spot on for the price. Only problem is they look cheap, and the weave of the material makes them look dirty even after a wash - so I tend to keep them hidden away in a cupboard.

**Q: What is the country of manufacture please?**
A: According to the label it reads as follows:- Made for Lakeland in the U.K.  Hope that helps I have had two of these, just the job.

**Q: what is the total length of the oven gloves and will they shrink**
A: Total length 92cms, hand pocket length 22cms. 40 degree wash. will it shrink? well its 100% cotton so probably a bit, I have to say I didn't notice. This is my 3rd oven glove like this and that's not because they don't last but because it's nice and thick, is a good length for getting big things out of the oven and doesn't transfer heat as quickly as cheap foam lined ones.

**Q: Are these gloves double sided?**
A: Not sure what you mean but they are excellent heavy duty oven gloves. I recommend. Good heat resistance and long enough to pick up various containers from the oven.

**Q: width of glove**
A: 6 3/4 inch: 17.5cm. they are fine on me and I usually take an xl or l glove

Looking to buy these my questions might be: Q: How heat-resistant are these? A: I've used a lot of different oven gloves over the years and these are by far the best I have found. Q: Do they also protect the back of your hands adequately? A: Yes, the hand is also covered with a double thickness of fabric. I have used other gloves where the back of the hand is only covered with a single thickness and know how easy it is to get burns when brushing against oven shelves etc. Not a problem with these. Q: Can you feel what you are doing while wearing these? A: Well ... so, so. Because of the thickness this is a problem as it would be with any good gloves with really good protection. That said, I would say in this respect, they are as good as any other. Q: Would you buy these again? A: Yes! And I have! I bought one pair, and liked them so much I bought two further pairs in this order for future use (also in case I can't buy these again in the later).
