Here's my detailed review: Design and Compatibility The IS-55’s low-profile design (only 57mm in height) is perfect for compact systems where space is a premium. It fits seamlessly into my ITX case, and the white finish adds a clean, modern look. The cooler is compatible with a wide range of Intel and AMD sockets, including Intel’s LGA1700, 1200, and 115x, and AMD’s AM4 and AM5, which adds to its versatility. If you're working with a small build, this cooler is an excellent choice. Cooling Performance The IS-55 features five heat pipes and a 120mm PWM fan that delivers efficient heat dissipation, ensuring my CPU remains cool even under moderate load. While it's not designed for extreme overclocking, it easily handles daily tasks and moderate gaming or workload without any temperature spikes. It supports a maximum TDP of 125W, which is more than enough for most users. ARGB Lighting One of the standout features is the customizable ARGB lighting. The cooler’s lighting is vibrant and can be synchronized with your motherboard via a 5V 3-pin connector. This makes it easy to match the cooler’s lighting effects with the rest of your build, adding a stylish touch to your system. The ARGB looks especially good in darker cases, where the lighting can shine through more brightly. Installation and Noise Installation was a breeze. The mounting system is secure and straightforward, and it comes with clear instructions. The fan operates quietly, even under load, which is great if you value a quieter build. It’s perfect for users who want performance without the added noise. Conclusion Overall, the ID-COOLING IS-55 ARGB White CPU cooler is an excellent choice for anyone building a compact system. It offers solid cooling performance, easy installation, and an aesthetic touch with its ARGB lighting. Whether you're building a small HTPC or a high-performance SFF PC, this cooler offers a great balance of functionality and style. Highly recommended! Review: Excellent low-profile cooler for ITX - I bought this CPU cooler for my Formd T1 v2.5 build as the heatsink seems very dense, maximising cooling performance theoretically. The quality is excellent and what's more everything is matte black, which is very good for those that care about aesthetics. And with no logos, it allows for an extremely clean build. The included fan is whisper silent and seems to perform well, but I swapped this out to a standard 25mm fan as I still had room in my build running a 2 slot GPU. The package includes longer screws for standard thickness fans, though I found them to be slightly long, but this could be because of the particular fan. And a really important part: this is all for just over £30, which is very competitive given what it offers. An important thing to note is that it has a maximum 33mm RAM clearance, so this requires you to have very low profile RAM or no heatsinks. I opted to remove the heatsinks from my RAM. Alternatively, you can remove any I/O covers from your motherboard and run any height RAM. In the Formd T1 specifically, you should definitely orient it over the I/O instead of the RAM as otherwise one of the side struts will be in the way, reducing the effective space for the cooler (at least with AM4 mounting). On my board (Asus Strix B550I), this cover is just a plastic part and can be removed with a few screws, so it is just there for aesthetics anyway. I have no issue with any of these low clearances, as it really maximises the cooling you can get in small systems like the T1. Overall a very good product from a company providing quality at a low price. ## Features - 【Better Heat Dissipation】The low-profile CPU cooler comes with 5 heat pipes and a 120mm PWM fan to make sure excellent heat transfer from the CPU. - 【Low-profile Design】Ultra-compact low-profile cooler with only 57mm total height – ideal for HTPCs, ITX, and Small Form Factor builds. - 【PWM Fan】The 120x120x15mm PWM fan delivers Low-Noise for automatic speed control and ultra-quiet operation for extreme CPU cooling performance. But I replaced it with a Notcua 15mm PWM and you can control that via software when booted. **Q: Is this compatible with the ryzen 5 3600 on ATX motherboards?** A: Yes,since ryzen5 3600 is AM4. but make sure your ram does not exceed the height clearance of the cooler. **Q: The cpu contact is square and looks like it’s made for ryzen not for intels rectangle cpus or am I wrong ?** A: I bought for ryzen but you get intel bracket as well, on their website it says "intel LGA 1700/1200/115X" compatibility. **Q: Will this fit an intel i7 6700k cpu?** A: On their website it says "intel LGA 1700/1200/115X" ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ one of the best itx cooler *by P***V on 2 March 2025* I recently upgraded my small form factor build with the ID-COOLING IS-55 ARGB White CPU cooler, and it has exceeded my expectations in both performance and design.
