Review: No nonsense decent bit of kit - You've only got to catch yourself with a hatchet once to start to think about safer ways to split kindling. This does the job admirably: Mount it on a log, pair it up with a rubber mallet and you're good to go. I haven't had to sharpen mine yet but it looks easy enough to do. Only criticism is that you simply can't split logs as big as you can with a hatchet / axe and it's much better with soft and green wood than it is with seasoned hardwood. As long as you understand that and use it accordingly you'll be fine.

Bought this to replace a large axe to chop firewood. I have to say it’s brilliant. Once you’re used to it,it works a treat. So much easier and safer than an axe. Makes chopping fire wood effortless. If you’re thinking of buying one and you’re not sure because of a negative review on this product ignore it… if used properly this is a great tool and will save you loads of time and effort.. Five stars from me⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
