He was so happy with the book. The recipes are simple enough for him to not lose interest and there is a good range (and not anything obscure that will never get made). He can be quite a picky eater, but wanted to try everything in the book. He also has a peanut & hazelnut allergy which can put him off cooking sometimes but he is able to make all the recipes. Nothing new, nothing creative. It’s not particularly healthy recipes and it doesn’t encourage children to try new things, but it’s fun and easy so not a bad book. I’d say great for a first book or for very young children, mine are 5 and 6 and it’s too easy for them but they want to try all the recipes in the book so it does appeal to children!
