Review: Best Large Portable Marshall Speaker - I've used this for a little over six months now and have thoughts about this speaker. Short story- This is an amazing speaker that sounds fantastic. Longer story- This speaker is almost 11 pounds in weight and built like a tank. It's pretty tough. You can feel the build quality when taking it out of the box. No plastic feeling party box with this one. This looks like a Marshall amp, and it's built like one. Water resistant for light rain if you have to take it outside too. It's an older model, so you get Bluetooth 5.0 instead of newer versions which for most people will mean almost nothing. It connects fast enough and quite easily. You don't get high res codecs, but there's a aux line input if you want to really make this sing with lossless or CD audio etc. It can get pretty loud, and the battery lasts a long time. One thing about most Marshall portable speakers is that you don't need to be facing them to hear audio clearly, it supports a virtually 360 degree listening area which is very impressive. Makes it very versatile at large gatherings. This speaker isn't compatible with the Marshall App, so no EQ adjust, except for bass and treble knobs on the top. And it's great. Power is on the volume knob and can simply be rotated on or off. Simple and easy. No track or music controls though. Power is via battery which charges fairly quickly, or it can be plugged in. The handle makes carrying a breeze. It's become my favorite larger portable speaker. I really hope there's a Tufton 2 later, that adds app support, more codecs, maybe player controls etc.

**Q: Is it better than jbl partybox 310?**
A: Hello, 
I am not familiar with the JBL party box, but from the looks of it, the JBL looks like a bigger speaker system more suited for larger open spaces. If you are looking for a more compact portable speaker, I would say the Marshall speaker is a good choice. I am very happy with mine and so far I have not heard a better sounding speaker than this portable Marshall. It has an amazing base sound, if this is something you are looking for.
I would recommend you hear them both if possible before you purchase any of them, as to your needs and likes.

**Q: Which is better: the Woburn or the Tufton?**
A: Woburn is a bigger better sounding speaker. The only thing Tufton has going is it's a portable speaker. Oddly weird shape. Sounds ok

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sound quality

Some 3rd party reviews rated the Tufton lacks mid-range. I have the Stockwell II & Kilburn II and decided on the Tufton which has marvelloue bass. The break-in was about 24 hours. My music source from Tidal and mid is okay for me. So much so, I ordered another 2 Tufton for my friends. One them kept the Kilburn II for home use & Tufton both outdoor & home.
