( Brush & cloth) Seems to have done the trick. Been caught in rain since with no negative effects. C **Q: Would this work on patent leather?** A: I use it to dye wood and it works, really works. So I don't think it matters what you are going to use it on it will be black afterwards. **Q: Is this a matte finish** A: I applied it to a new pair of leather boots, already black. Just as it says, it's jet black after a couple of coats. Nice dyes and work well for what i want it for. Also had Purple and blue ones which look fantastic but dilute them a bit to get the strength of colour you want with a neutral (clear) which angelus do as well.
