Review: Brilliant! - What a great idea! So easy and quick to operate, much better than fiddling with combination wheels or having to go and get a key to unlock the shed. For the reviewer who cannot remember the combination, you can change the sequence to something you can remember. Only downside; it's not weatherproof. Review: Absolutely crack proof - Superb lock, you put a difficult code in and it's virtually crack proof. I use it multiple times daily 6 days aweek and it's been faultless. ## Features - Indoor padlock is best used as a school locker lock and gym lock, providing protection and security from theft.Note: Measure your door's backset, cross bore and thickness to ensure you find the right fit.Note: Measure your door's backset, cross bore and thickness to ensure you find the right fit. - Set your own directional combination lock for speed and easy combination recall; For combo reset instructions, refer to the user guide in the technical specifications section of this page - Padlock includes metal body construction, hardened steel shackle, and anti-shim locking mechanism for improved strength and security - 2-1/8 inch (54 millimeter) wide lock body; 1/4 inch (6 millimeter) diameter shackle with 1 inch (25 millimeter) length, 3/4 inch (19 millimeter) width; Available in black, blue, purple, red (randomly selected at time of shipment) - Faster combination entry than a standard combination lock by using up, down, left, or right directional movements. - Available in black, red, blue & purple (color randomly selected at time of shipment) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B002TSN4SQ | | Best Sellers Rank | 67,153 in DIY & Tools ( See Top 100 in DIY & Tools ) 140 in Combination Padlocks | | Brand | Master Lock | | Colour | Colors May Vary | | Control Method | Touch | | Controller Type | Hand Control | | Country of Origin | China | | Customer Reviews | 4.0 out of 5 stars 8,784 Reviews | | Finish | Polished | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00071649114694 | | Included Components | 1 | | Item Dimensions | 29 x 54 x 99 millimetres | | Item Type Name | Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 29 x 54 x 99 millimetres | | Lock Type | Combination Lock | | Lock type | Combination Lock | | Manufacturer | Master Lock | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | Limited lifetime warranty. | | Material | Metal | | Model Name | Locker Lock | | Model Number | 1500iD | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Number of Pieces | 1 | | Part Number | 1590ID | | Recommended Uses For Product | Security | | Recommended uses for product | Security | | Shape | Rectangular | | Special Features | Keyless, Padlock | | Special feature | Keyless , Padlock | | Style | Modern | | UPC | 071649114694 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Master Lock - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 29 x 54 x 99 millimetres - **Lock type:** Combination Lock - **Material:** Metal - **Special feature:** Keyless, Padlock ## Images ![1500iD Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, Colors May Vary, 1 Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61xtjErnQ3L.jpg) ![1500iD Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, Colors May Vary, 1 Pack - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/617ZaUbfX2L.jpg) ![1500iD Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, Colors May Vary, 1 Pack - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61In+AF174L.jpg) ![1500iD Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, Colors May Vary, 1 Pack - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61xEKmCZNzL.jpg) ![1500iD Locker Lock Set Your Own Directional Combination Padlock, Colors May Vary, 1 Pack - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71VvECLBFsL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: How many combinations are possible? (i.e., how many stops for each wheel inside?) 10 stops/wheel would be like a 4-digit combination lock. Is that so?** A: Although there are infinitely many sequences you can set as the combination, the lock has only 7,500 internal positions, not counting the reset position. This means that if you set a particular sequence to open the lock, there are infinitely many other sequences that will also open the lock. For example, if you set the combination to LURL (left-up-right-left), the lock will also open with the sequence RLL. Some people consider this a bug or defect, I think it is simply a technical aspect that is not disclosed to consumers because the mechanical explanation is too complex for the average consumer. This technical paper by a lock collector in the Netherlands has a more detailed mathematical explanation https://toool.nl/images/e/e5/The_New_Master_Lock_Combination_Padlock_V2.0.pdf . One of the interesting takeaways from this paper is that every sequence longer than 11 moves is equivalent to some sequence of 11 or fewer moves. So it does not make any sense to torture yourself to remember a 12-move or 13-move sequence. For instance, UUUURRRRDDDDD is the same as LLURD. **Q: My granddaughter is legally blind. Do you have a blue padlock? The reason I ask is because she can't see most colors on white. Same problem with black** A: In my opinion, the Blue is the worst for visibility. The stickers are dark blue with black text - almost impossible for me to read except under a bright light. However, the great thing about these locks is that once you remember the sequence you don't have to be able to read the sticker labels. Also you can choose a simple sequence or a more difficult one. For my work locks I use an eight movement sequence. For my son's lock I use a four movement sequence. I love these locks. **Q: Does this only do four directions? Or can it do more? I need one that allows the combination to be five.** A: If I understand your question: it only allows four directions (up, down, left, right.) But what I think you're getting at is how many steps you can add. In that case, you can enter pretty much as many steps as your like (Gismodo used 30 steps successfully). Personally, I've set mine for eight, giving 1:65,563 odds (and that's only if a stranger knew that I had used eight, which they wouldn't.) If you want to use five, that's fine, and will give the odds of 1:1024 (assuming it was publicly known that you only used five steps.) **Q: I would like a blue Speed Dial Masterlock. The description indicates that the colors are selected randomly at the time of shipment??** A: If you place your order before 2pm, send us an email with your order number and I'll go back to the warehouse and make sure you get the blue one. Thanks for choosing Home Network Supply! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant! *by D***B on 22 May 2014* What a great idea! So easy and quick to operate, much better than fiddling with combination wheels or having to go and get a key to unlock the shed. For the reviewer who cannot remember the combination, you can change the sequence to something you can remember. Only downside; it's not weatherproof. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely crack proof *by S***N on 2 January 2023* Superb lock, you put a difficult code in and it's virtually crack proof. I use it multiple times daily 6 days aweek and it's been faultless. ### ⭐ Very poor design if you want to change the code *by B***S on 20 April 2024* These locks are great in theory, or if you don’t want to change the combination. The basic problem is that when you set a new combination, you can’t be certain it has been correctly registered until you close the lock. At that point your new combination either works, or it doesn’t - and if it doesn’t you’re stuck with a useless lock that’s good only for the bin. The mechanism is a bit temperamental. About 1 in 10 times that you try to open it with the supplied 4-move code, it doesn’t work. If you enter a new, longer code, the chances of something not quite registering are really quite high. I’ve ordered two locks. For each, I set a new 11-move code for each. In both cases, the lock then wouldn’t open and had to be thrown away. £60 wasted. I appreciate this is because the new code wasn’t correctly set, but I am not daft; I followed the instructions to the letter, practised with the locks a lot beforehand, and set the code extremely carefully. They just aren’t reliable. I suspect this is the main reason they are discontinued. If you do get lucky and manage to set a new code, or are happy to stick with the existing (less secure) 4-move code supplied, then this is probably a great product. ## Frequently Bought Together - Master Lock Directional Combination Lock, Set Your Own Directional Lock, Combination Lock for Gym and School Lockers, 1500iD - Shimeyao 4 Pcs 5 Letter Combination Lock Heavy Duty Gym Locker 5 Digit Word Locker Keyless Resettable Metal Lock for College Gym Toolbox Hasp Cabinet(Letter) - Bosvision Combination Padlock for Gym Locker and Escape Room, Code Padlock, 7.8mm Shackle --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/48762774-1500id-locker-lock-set-your-own-directional-combination-padlock-colors](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/48762774-1500id-locker-lock-set-your-own-directional-combination-padlock-colors) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-11-07*
