Ensure the aquarium pump is switched off before changing the filter cartridge. 2. Remove the EasyCrystal filter from the aquarium. 3. Open the filter and take out the used filter cartridge. 4. Take a new filter cartridge from the FilterPack and insert it into the EasyCrystal filter. 5. Close the filter and place it back into the aquarium. 6. Restart the aquarium pump. 7. Repeat this process every four weeks for optimal filtration and water quality. Another helpful tip would be for fish that need tap safe. When cleaning the fish tank or when changing filter I put some drops off tap safe on the filter too especially if topping up water after clear out. This keeps it in circulation and ensures safety for the fish. I have 7 fish and have had them nearly 2 years and have learnt from a family member who has been a great fish owner. The filter itself is great water is looking very clean meaning less changing and the electric filters they sit in are not noisy but if anything relaxing due to the water flow sounds but no machine noises.
