Of all the products I have tried, to tame my curly hair, this product produces the best curls – the bounciest and shiniest curls, that last for a couple of days before needing reviving. I find the best time to apply this product is onto clean hair that is still dripping wet. The consistency of this product is a thick slime. A little goes a long way, which I apply by sliding my hands down thick slices of hair to encourage the curls to clump together. My hair dries with a cast, which I can then scrunch out. As long as my hair is completely dry first, I am not left with visible residue. I like that my hair does not feel weighed down by this product, as it does with cream-based products. My hair does not turn frizzy or fluffy when I use this product. Used by several family members with varying hair lengths and textures. Non drying and plays nicely with hair oils. No flakes. My only real complaint is that the product is too sloppy for packaging like this. Not idea for travel/swimming etc, and be careful opening the pot with wet hands in the shower. To get around this I am decanting some into one of those silicone travel tubes for the gym bag. If Cantu could repackage in a tube, similar to that they use for their cowash it would be 5 stars. Refreshes nicely with the aid of a water spritz between co-washes for those of us who like our wash n go, to be a minimal fuss for busy lifestyles. Suitable for use by adults and children alike as very easy to use. Would recommend for families cos which modern Mum has time for multiple products for different family members during the week? It does not play nicely in combo with shea moisture detangler leave in (orange label), but it's the over priced shea moisture product that has been ditched not this one!!!!
