Review: Best filtered water ... - This works. I had an issue with the filter that came with the unit in which some orange coloured beads like tiny yellow transluscent fish eggs appeared in the feeder tank. I think this is a design fault with a batch, as I purchased four more, and they have a different setup, and there are no issues. This fault is discussed at length on the internet. I wouldn't worry about it. The best bit about these is making jumbo icecubes for whisky. These are so clear and taste so much better than using tap or mineral water. The water itself is great, and the jug sits nicely in the fridge. I am not sure about the spigot for dispensing. For me, it's not used much. So the big question is, what to do with my BRITA as it is not as good, but I have quite a few filters. The answer is easy. Filter 1st in the Brita, then second pass through the zero. This extends the life of the Brita filter. If you experience a fishy taste ... its not a fault, you just need to change the filter. Review: Really effective Water Filter Jug - I am really pleased with the Zerowater Filter Jug which I purchased about a year ago. It does just as it says it does, removing almost all tap water dissolved solids. The filter lasted about 6 weeks of everyday use (just for drinking) and the tester shows you when the filter needs to be replaced (when it displays 6). You can also tell when it needs to be replaced because the water tastes off when the filter has expired. The spare filters sold by desertcart were £50 for a pack of 4 last year but are now (2019) £30 for a pack of 2. They are just as good as the original filter sold with the jug but have gone up in price to around £15 each. The jug is easy to use and although a little heavy when full, it is not too heavy to be easy to use. ## Features - 2.8 LITRES WATER FILTER JUG: Unlike other leading water filter jugs, ZeroWater filter jugs uses Ion Exchange Technology to reduce 99.6% of all total dissolved solids in your drinking water, delivering the purest tasting water. - 5 STAGE FILTRATION SYSTEM: The 2.8 Litres uses a premium 5 stage filtration system, which combines all five sophisticated technologies that work together to remove virtually all dissolved solids like no other filter jug! - LARGE READY-POUR JUG: ZeroWater 2.8 Litres features a one-handed, pull and pour button spout for easy pouring from the fridge or for filling bottles. This water filter jug holds 2.8 litres, making it great for home and office - NSF CERTIFIED: The 2.8 Litres is the only pour-through filter pitcher on the market that is certified by the NSF to reduce pesticides, lead, chromium and other heavy metals - WATER QUALITY METER INCLUDED: Our filter jug includes a Lab Grade Digital Water Quality Meter that will show you the exact Total Dissolved Solids reading of your water. It’s important to change your filter when your TDS meter reads above 006ppm ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01JA5H7GK | | Best Sellers Rank | 133,830 in Home & Kitchen ( See Top 100 in Home & Kitchen ) 71 in Water Filter Jugs | | Brand | ZeroWater | | Capacity | 2.8 litres | | Container Type | Pitcher | | Customer Reviews | 3.9 out of 5 stars 5,198 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00851510006019, 00851510006088 | | Included Components | 12-Cup Ready-Pour Pitcher, 5-Stage Water Filter, TDS Meter | | Included components | 12-Cup Ready-Pour Pitcher, 5-Stage Water Filter, TDS Meter | | Installation Type | Countertop | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 29.5L x 15W x 27.9H centimetres | | Item Type Name | ZeroWater 12-Cup Ready-Pour Pitcher with Free TDS Meter (Total Dissolved Solids) ZD-012RP | | Item Weight | 454 g | | Manufacturer | ZeroWater | | Manufacturer Part Number | ZD-012RP | | Material | Plastic | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | ZD-012RP | | Model Number | ZD-012RP | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Reduce TDS with included TDS meter | | Power Source | Manual | | Product dimensions | 29.5L x 15W x 27.9H centimetres | | Purification Method | Mechanical filtration, activated clay, ion exchange, granular activated carbon | | Special feature | Reduce TDS with included TDS meter | | Supported Water TDS Level Maximum (PPM) | 1 | | UPC | 851510006019 851510006088 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** ZeroWater - **Capacity:** 2.8 litres - **Included components:** 12-Cup Ready-Pour Pitcher, 5-Stage Water Filter, TDS Meter - **Installation type:** Countertop - **Material:** Plastic - **Package information:** Pitcher - **Power source:** Manual - **Product dimensions:** 29.5L x 15W x 27.9H centimetres - **Purification method:** Mechanical filtration, activated clay, ion exchange, granular activated carbon - **Special feature:** Reduce TDS with included TDS meter ## Images ![Water Jug with Filter 2.8 Liters - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51XSU7+GLrL.jpg) ![Water Jug with Filter 2.8 Liters - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61JSv27fFGL.jpg) ![Water Jug with Filter 2.8 Liters - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71hoDDQl4sL.jpg) ![Water Jug with Filter 2.8 Liters - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71VxL-xMlQL.jpg) ![Water Jug with Filter 2.8 Liters - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71pJnYsKXBL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is TDS?** A: Total Dissolved Solids (“TDS”) are organic and inorganic materials, such as metals, minerals, salts, and ions dissolved in water. After 5 days, the water started tasting very acidic and after looking online and at other reviews, it is clear that this is a common issue with the filter. The solution would be to buy a new filter that costs £20 each! Very disappointing. Avoid at all costs! ## Frequently Bought Together - ZeroWater 12-Cup Ready-Pour 5-Stage Water Filter Pitcher Dispenser with 5-Stage 0 TDS Zero Water Filter – IAPMO Certified to Reduce Metals, Chlorine, Lead, Chromium, and Forever Chemicals PFOA/PFOS - ZeroWater Official Replacement Filter - 5-Stage 0 TDS Filter Replacement - System IAPMO Certified to Reduce Lead, Chromium, and PFOA/PFOS, 2-Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/48214703-water-jug-with-filter-2-8-liters](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/48214703-water-jug-with-filter-2-8-liters) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
