Box Contains 1 x Tyre Changer Review: In the long run - Yes! - At the end of the day I would have paid someone around £80 extra to fit two tyres to my motorbike so decided to get this and do the job myself. Setting it up and installing it was relatively simple but be sure to ground it properly by getting the appropriate bolts/screws/plugs etc as you do use a lot of strength getting tyres on an off - if you can imagine putting all your weight and force into something then securing this kit is paramount. It took me a while to get the idea of how it actually works (there are some YouTube videos out there but it’s always somewhat different when you have to do it yourself!) and I did end up scratching the rims but this is only because of the cheap rim protectors I bought - so again be sure to invest in a product that will do the job as you might end up loosing it (as I did!)! In the end my technique was a lot better on the 2nd tyre and this bit of kit made that happen. I’m chuffed I no longer have to pay someone to fit tyres as it inevitably puts the price up quite considerably - something I’ll not have to do in the future. Is it worth it I hear you ask? It quotes 524mm which is just under 21”** A: Hi, The 524mm is just under 21”, so yes this unit will handle the 21” wheel. **Q: Does this work on a car tyres too?** A: No you cannot use the TC965 with car tyres. You need a heavier duty unit such as the TC960 or TC962. **Q: can it change size 17 inch trye** A: I have a motorcycle with 19” front and 16” rear wheels and removed the old tyres and put new tyres on with the Sealey tyre changer. It is easily adjustable and should be fine with a 17”. It definitely takes some patience and practice to fit a new tyre, but once you get the hang of it, the tool will pay for itself. Talcum powder on the inner tube and tyre lube around the tyre bead, helps. **Q: confused because product desc states max size for wheels is 524mm/21" & 420mm/16 1/2" so which is it please..need to change 460mm/18" tyres? thanks** A: Yes it will do 21" wheels, I have found that the tyre lever is not long enough for easy removal of tyres but even at this length I managed to bend the centre post. I will make up some new posts from silver steel to suit different bearings and lengthen the lever which will make it a decent machine for the price.
