With the heavy duty strim cord in short bursts with the trigger and with good face/eye protection. It will wear the cord out, a little, but for a quick cut back it worked for me. Waste of time and money. I used it on thin grass about 6 inches high and it kept cutting out after 3-4 minutes. Then had to wait for heat fuse to re-set. Did this on Strimmer wire and brush cutter blade.
