Super inconsequential to it's function, but some people might care. It pulls really smoothly, and I am using it for my dogs, and for my "knees over toes" guy exercises. It comes with a harness for pulling behind you that works real well, no weird pokey points. I have a dog leash with a ring, and two clips for dog collars. I just put that around, clip it to the ring and start walking backwards. I am using this on a field of sand and weeds. It is not smooth, as gophers infest it. This hasn't been an issue with 25 pounds on it. Slides right over, bobbling along nicely. I am very happy with this sled. It is perfect so far. I don't know about durability, I have used it three times so far. I am dragging it on sand, so I doubt I will wear a hole in it, the pipes used for the sled are fairly thick.
