I'm 5'9"/190 lb. medium build; pretty average. I ordered the extra large and the fit was good but the length was noticeably short in the waist (4" or more) which also made the pockets ride high. So I order XL Long and it was way too large all the way around. Ended up getting a Large Long which did the trick. Have had this problem with their hoodies as well. Sometimes you think you got an item made for someone with a drinking problem (beer belly). As far as the jacket goes I like it a lot. Pockets could be deeper, but it will keep me warm and ride out the cold weather well. It should last a very long time.
