So young players use two hands to shoot the basketball with. Now this becomes less of a two hand shot over time but most players never completely get rid of the two handed shot and to the untrained eye most people would never notice. But players continue to use their off hand to help shoot the ball and this causes two COMPETING forces placed on the ball which means the ball isn't going to go exactly where you want it to. With this additional force on the basketball the ball will not have the best rotation. The ball will spin like an out of control asteroid on it's way to the basket, instead of with a smooth end over end rotation. When the ball spins in all sorts of directions, when it hits the rim it will most likely go flying out to the left or to the right instead of boucing softly on the rim and backboard and having a chance to go in. We had to completely rebuild his shot......it was a lot wrong with it, one being his off hand getting in the way. Saw immediate results after just one workout. We made this a part of his shooting workout for about a month. His shot looks totally different. This strap worked perfectly for him. He is earned the starting SG position on his high school Varsity Team this year as a 9th Grader.
