Some water pomades make my hair silky soft, some dry it out** A: It doesn't get crunchy like a gel, but it does get solid. I would describe it as getting thicker. I've never used the firme, but unless you are trying to make your hair really high you should be ok either way. I wear my hair in a slickback and have no problems. It also reactivates with water if anything gets out of place. Just wet your comb and run it through your hair. **Q: How many ounces of the actual stuff are in there?
