Is it good for that?** A: I believe this mic is geared more to the direct signal of an electric guitar amp speaker. It could be used for piano, but you may want to check into other Neumann or AKG models, and consider two mics also. **Q: Plan on recording with a band soon in a less than ideal space, will this be better at preventing bleeding sound from the drums than a 57?** A: Yes, it picks up less sound from the sides than a 57 because its super cardioid pattern and the design of the mic head you can get it really close up on the speaker, so you should get less bleed from other sounds in the room. It does pick up a little sound from directly behind it (since that's how super cardioid works) but as long as the drums are directly behind it, it should be good. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sennheiser Professional e 609 Silver Super-Cardioid Instrument Microphone,Wired, Wireless - Shure SM57 Pro XLR Dynamic Microphone - Professional Studio & Live Performance Cardioid Mic for Instruments, Recording for Drums, Percussion, & Instrument Amplifier Miking (SM57-LC) - Gearlux XLR Microphone Cable Professional, Fully Balanced, Male to Female, 25 Feet - 2 Pack --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/4212779-sennheiser-professional-e-609-silver-super-cardioid-instrument-microphone-wired](https://www.desertcart.com.br/products/4212779-sennheiser-professional-e-609-silver-super-cardioid-instrument-microphone-wired) --- *Product available on Desertcart Brazil* *Store origin: BR* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
