They are sturdy enough to fill with lighter objects but they are not heavy duty like a "Milk Crate". For instance you won't use these to haul around your collection of a dozen handheld power tools. Still you'll love that they collapse and stack so you can have several standing by ready for when you need to collect a bunch of loose stuff and put it in a closet or take around in the car.I have six of these and have not had a single issue with any of them.
