This charger simply works, at least for high-quality batteries in good condition. Just insert the batteries and the charger does the rest, then stops charging each individual battery when that battery's charge is complete. No concern about leaving the charger unattended, even overnight or long-term. Unlike some chargers on the market, this Panasonic charger can charge single batteries at a time (rather than requiring batteries to be charged in pairs). It also charges slower than the rapid chargers peddled on Amazon, and that's a good thing, as slower charging incrases battery life. The only knock against this Panasonic charger is the fact that the lights aren't quite as intuitive as some other chargers, but it only takes Siri a second to pull up the guide/explanation of the lights. If you need a simply, effective, safe charger for AA and AAA batteries, I highly recommend this Panasonic charger or any of the Panasonic BQ chargers. The Panasonic eneloop batteries are simply the best and are worth the slight premium price.
