I was hesitant but I received them, they looked nice and he LOVES them!! Great gift idea! For throwing axes just get a piece of wood to go with it! He luckily has an acre of land and using them on natural trees. But they are way cool, lightweight and easy to throw! Only drawback is the durability of the string cord wrapped as a handle. That string needed replaced after one week of use. String cord was easily replaced but it could have been more durable.
