Ever since being discontinued way back in 1984, the BOSS DM-2 Delay pedal has remained highly sought after by players everywhere for its warm, "bucket brigade" analog delay tone. Now, the DM is back! With the Waza Craft DM-2W, the coveted stomp has been reborn with switchable sound modes and greater versatility for today's music styles. Using 100-percent analog circuitry, the DM-2W's Standard mode nails the lush sound and 20-300 ms delay range of the original DM-2. Flipping into Custom mode instantly changes the sound character to a cleaner analog tone with over twice the available delay time. Since the beginning, the engineers at BOSS have been committed to achieving the finest guitar tones using any technology necessary, from old-school analog circuits to high-tech DSP. Im normalen Modus lassen sich die Verzögerungen wegen des weiten Regelbereiches sehr gut einstellen, so taugt die Kiste auch für Slapbacks und Surfsounds. Der neue Waza-Modus klingt ein bischen heller, das ist aber immer noch ein Dark Delay und die Repeats erodieren ganz wunderbar mit Rauschen und sich addierenden Verzerrungen. Meines Erachtens besser als das Carbon Copy und in jedem Fall besser als digitale Imitationen (auch die von Boss a la DD 200), saugt nicht viel Strom und ist in diesem Jahr "Made in Japan". Meines gebe ich nicht mehr her.

**Q: Can this pedal do slapback delay?**
A: Absolutely! It does an excellent slapback.

**Q: Does this pedal have "tap tempo"? It sounds like it does from the description but, it isn't 100% clear.**
A: no its a recreation of the DM2 from the 70s before tap tempto was around...you can put a volume pedal in the side and control time length...but not tap

**Q: Made in japan ?**
A: Yes Waza craft pedals are made in Japan

**Q: did it come with a metal switch/button screw ?**
A: Yes mine did and it said Made In Japan instead of Inspected In Japan

The delay time range of this pedal is what really sets it apart from other analog delays. 20ms all the way to 800ms means it can serve as a reverb pedal if needed. It sounds slightly brighter than others. Great little pedal. After a tonne of research this is the best bang for the Buck
