Review: This Food Processor is a Joy to Use and Worth EVERY Penny - Iv'e hit a home run with this Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Food Processor It has been a joy to use Iv'e always wanted one, but took about 3 weeks researching them Videos are the best tool. I went through 3 or 4 choices before I decided on this one. My critera was: ease of cleaning, 3 speeds including pulse, big mouth feed for larger items and capacity with minimum of 8-10 cups This one is 12 cup capacity. It has a decent warranty, but purchased an extension, knowing I would use this item a lot! Iv'e made humus and still trying different recipes/ingredients, I make tacos on regular basis shredding cabbage, cooked chicken or pork and cheese. I make numerous cabbage recipes including cole slaw with different ingredients, since it's so easy now . Iv'e sliced tomatoes for sandwiches The slices aren't picture perfect, but good enough with time saving for clean up. I've also started dicing fruit for fruit salads which I have learned to love from the fresh fruit flavor. This Food Processor has become a central part of my kitchen I rated it 5 stars for everything because it has lived up to it's tasks. It's rare I know, to be so pleased with a product these days -I got lucky! I'm going to give a friend for her birthday the same Food Processor. I definately recommend this product!

**Q: Can this be used to make mashed potatos?**
A: While I suppose it would work, it wouldn't be a good idea.  Food experts say mashed potatoes should be treated gently or they get gluey.  This processor is anything but gentle,  It is very powerful and goes crazy fast.

**Q: How to buy optional round disc fine shredder crinkle cut**
A: Contact maker.

**Q: How do I clean the lid?**
A: I was not happy with this purchase and that is one of the reasons why. I got a Cuisinart to replace my Hamilton Beach and can't be more pleased. It was more expensive but it does a much better job making pesto and other things I needed it for and is a lot easier to clean!

**Q: Can it do nut butters, almond flour, garbanzo bean flour, or grind coffee beans?**
A: I have made Almond butter and flour and peanut butter with it.

This is a really great food processor that comes at a good price. It does everything we want! We now buy cheese in brick and use this product to grate it to save money. After around two years, I bought another one because the lid broke and the part was more expensive than the whole food processor. We saved the old parts, just in case. For the price, I'm really satisfied.
