Doesn't make sense for me to pay top dollar for the high-end boots, so found these with solid reviews and a favorable price. Feet stayed warm for hours outside at night standing on a frozen lake and on packed snow and on a mountain top (approx. 3,800 ft.). Hikes were over a mix of hard-packed and banked snow and had no issue with slipping or with moisture getting through the boot.
