With Wifi calling, what seems to happen is that on occasion, cell reception gets strong enough that the phone wants to switch from Wifi to cell, and the call may drop. Using an app on my android phone I measured cell signal. Found that in the attic I had borderline reception. My house roof is pyramid shaped and steep enough that I did not want to scale. I found a chase that goes from attic to basement so I ordered this unit. Placed the antenna in the attic as close to roof as I could and still allow it to rotate so I could fine tune reception. Ran the coax in basement to my study and transmit antenna is there. I increased signal strength - for the most part by 15 db. I know signal is knocked down by roofing material, but this is working for me. I mounted on a 2x4 that goes from floor to peak of attic. using both brackets that come with the unit. I can swivel the antenna 180'. After some experimenting the antenna is pointed in a different direction from what I was expecting by mapping cell towers, but bottom line is this works well. Review: Does need a little tweaking for best performance - It does work, but isn’t exactly plug and play.
