Also, I place the jar opener under items on my dinner tray to keep them from sliding. A very useful purchase!!

So my hands are rather weak, and this is too stiff for me to wrap around a lid. However, I have granite counter tops that are slippery, and this silicone jar opener works great underneath glass bowls to keep them from slipping as I cook or toss a salad. I wear a size 7 1/2 leather glove. This is the perfect width to securely place my hand around a jar lid. The grip is excellent. I would recommend this product for the grip of the silicone.
