It is light, but that is an advantage as I move it on and off my lap. It is stable...all I did was angle the vertical legs backward a bit and then angled the support legs so the bottom of the tray is lower than the top, thus, angling downward for a more comfortable typing position. Next, I already saw from the product photos that I would want to place a strip of something at the bottom of the tray for the laptop to sit on. I want the surface of the laptop close to me to be the same height as the tray's lip that keeps the laptop from sliding off. The solution was simple and was completed in less than 5 minutes.. I took a file folder and folded the flat end inward about an inch and a half. Then I folded it again a few times until it was the desired thickness. Then I used black gorilla tape over the edges so it wouldn't unfold, and then applied a strip of tape along the long side and stuck it to the tray. Now when I set my laptop on the tray, my wrists don't lay on that narrow edge--instead there is simply a nice flat surface with my arms supported on the arm rests. A wonderful and comfortable office. But what is the most common device your laptop uses: a thumb drive. This is one of those products where the designer was in such a rush to get it out, they didn't stop to consider all the different scenarios. You can adjust this table just high enough that you can fit your USB thumb drive but be warned: the thumb drive sticks out of the side and over the leg. If that table suddenly collapses, for whatever reason, it may damage your thumb drive in the process. And it may be a thumb drive that has important information on it that's no longer retrievable after being damaged. It hasn't happened yet.........I'm only raising awareness of it. A solution: this kind of a table needs to be longer by at least two (2) inches. This is the perfect find! It is very adjustable to my position sitting or half laying in bed. It is perfect for me to use these on my bed for work and also streaming movies. The best part is that I can fold it up and carry it with me wherever I go, it's only a little wider than my laptop so it doesn't fit my laptop backpack but it's light enough to carry by itself. When I travel it fits snuggly in my carry on luggage bag. Making it easy to carry and use anywhere I go.
