Review: EZ-PZ setup, nice build quality and functions perfectly - I bought one 12.5" and three of their 8.5" clocks replace three aging ten year old weather stations that do not have the Atomic clock function. I also bought one of their 12.5" same clock just larger. Since they have no lights, they can't be seen in the dark. That is the trade-off for not having to plug them in and when wall mounted not having that ugly wire hanging down. Battery only and no wires hanging out of them to a plug. However, for our home offices and kitchen where we always gave the lights on or have good daylight they are perfect Setup is a breeze. The display is large and well laid out. It also looks professional not cheap looking and like a cheap gimmicky gadget. These look clean and well built. I am now looking for one last one for our bedroom that plugs in and lights up. The Atomic clock DST function was confusing at first I just set it manually for MST, and I turned on WWSV search auto for WWSV region, then you'll see Auto DST under the Time zone tower icon in the display.and mine connected almost immediately, left them overnight and voila, they connected and are now keeping time corrected every night three times I think nightly. Now I need one more that lights up and can be seen in the dark for the bedroom with inside and outside temps and for that it will have to plug in. These pics are in my shop with the 12.5"

**Q: How often do you need to replace the batteries ?**
A: I've only had this model for 4 months, but the inherent I had before this one lasted over 30 years and new batteries every 3-5 years.

**Q: How do I turn off the alarm?**
A: Under Time Set:  (down Al.On/Off) click to turn on or off the alarm clock.

**Q: The numbers are so light, almost like they're grayed out, so it's hard to see them.  Is there a way to make the numbers darker?**
A: NOPE! No illumination or contrast adjustment settings. It’s like an old classroom calculator. If it’s in the shade, it disappears.

**Q: How close to an outside wall is needed for the clock to receive time radio signal? (East Coast location)**
A: My clock is not hanging near an outside wall. It is on an inside wall facing my front door and large window about ten feet away.

It seems to catch the radio time signal with no issues.

Oct 2024 Update: The new clock the company sent me appears to be working a lot better than the one I originally got so I have increased the stars to 5. It is not completely glitch free but we haven't had anywhere near as many problems with it as we did with the first one AND the glitches are no worse than what we had with our 2 previous atomic clocks made by other companies. I now believe the first one was probably just a defective clock and this one is more representative of the clocks quality. As stated below this company reached out to me after reading my review and replaced the clock that was no longer eligible for return due to the time that had passed. That says to me they stand behind their product making this clock worth purchasing. March 2024 Update: The company contacted me after reading my review in an effort to try & resolve the problem. After their suggested fixes didn't work, they offered to send me a new clock, free of charge, in the hope that the first one was just defective. It is so rare anymore to find a company that actually tries to make sure their customer is happy. I will come back & update this review again once we have the new clock and have given it a few months to make sure it works properly. Love the look of this clock, love how big the numbers are and how easy it is to read everything even at a distance. With that said, all that is great as long as the clock keeps the correct information on its display. This is not our first Atomic clock, it is our 3rd, but it is the first one that has had this issue. We hung it in the exact same place the others were hung. However this one, on several occasions, has jumped ahead to a different date and time when it did its updating. Unfortunately, the first time it happened we thought it was a one time thing and that it would be fine but it has done it several times now, of course well after the return date has expired. While it is a relatively easy fix, you just have to move it to a window and leave it there until it corrects itself, you shouldn't have to do that at all, at least not multiple times. Since we can't return it we will live with it for now but I will not buy this brand again and I would never give it to someone as a gift. Our previous clock was a Panasonic and we will probably go back to one of them when we decide we have had enough of this one and its issue.
