Review: Male size 8 feet - Bought to help recover from a really bad ankle sprain. I fell from height onto loose cobbles and managed to give myself a nasty eversion sprain. I now can only walk any distance with a walking stick. Sizing:- I have normal width size 8 feet. These fit perfectly (I bought the lest medium size). I am 5ft10” 90kg so have fairly substantial (gorgeous looking though) calves and still have room in the brace. Pros:- I tried another expensive lace up brace and this is better for fit and effectiveness. The lace up ones are probably better for prevention rather than a cure in my opinion. This one gives good support and stops excessive rotation on the joint. It’s fairly comfortable. I have worn it under lightweight leather walking boots as well as normal shoes. It certainly helps with pain relief and extends my walking range by at least double. It’s also easy to put on. Seems to be made from good quality materials. Cons:- it can rub above your ankle if you are too active in it but it’s not awful. This is affected by what shoes you wear and what activity you are doing with it so you can’t really blame the brace. If I lost it I would buy another

**Q: Can I wear it for swimming?**
A: I wouldn’t advise it. Firstly it would take a long time to dry. Secondly it would make it very hard to flex foot.

**Q: Does it fasten on left for left foot**
A: You pass the strap from the left side of the support over the instep to the right and pass it round behind your heel back to the left side. Then pass it through the loop fitted to the right side of the support, double the end back to the left and secure it with the velcro. hope this makes sense.

**Q: Which size should i buy I'm size 9 shoe**
A: Hello,

Assuming you're talking about UK shoe sizes, a size 9 sits nicely in the middle of the medium size range, so you'd need a medium.

I managed to severely sprain my ankle Jan1st - visit to hospital and couldn't walk for 3 weeks, couldn't play tennis for 8. I've always had ankle injuries and the previous bandage supports helped but not enough. So I bought one of these - 9 months on from resuming I've not missed a match. At first I found it quite bulky - and I couldn't fit my normal tennis shoes on with it in place. However I have some wider ones and it fits OK in these, though it has caused the fabric to wear a bit. When I'm wearing it I not longer notice, and its not had any impact on my admittedly moderate tennis ability. When this one wears out, then I'll get another of the same.
