A: The sweetner/polyol used in the bar is maltitol, which when ingested, 40% of the maltitol gets absorbed and fully metabolized, while the rest is fermented (60%) by bacteria.

Therefore, a reasonable estimate would be to deduct 50% of the total grams of maltitol from the total carbohydrates that are found in this bar.
