**Q: What is the thickness of the metal ears of the tool that goes behind the gear, or bearing you are pulling?**
A: If you are referring to the bottom, let's say the claws on either side, it's about an 1/8" protruding on either side. I used it to remove a paddle fa n bearing (35mm o.d. x 15mm i.d x 11mm w), and was great.

**Q: Can this puller be used to pull a wiper arm?**
A: You couldn’t pull a sick old lady off the piss pot with that pile of junk. Mine broke immediately trying to pull a gear off the lawn mower starter.

**Q: what is diameter of the shaft? (the unthreaded part)**
A: 1/4" dia

**Q: What is the top to bottom thickness of the lower protruding portion of the tool that face each other?**
A: 1/8”
