Before, I'd struggle reworking a circuit board, having difficulty seeing in enough detail to perform the required work. Now it is easy.I installed the 0.5X Barlow lens to increase the working distance. This allows enough room to get soldering irons, or xacto blades into where you need them. With the 144 LED light attachment there is more than enough light to see the finest details, even at the highest magnification. The counter balanced boom is easy to use and allows some pretty impressive reach on one's work bench. When not in use, I just rotate the microscope out of the way.This is an enabling piece of hardware.
