A: They come from  Germany . And they work really well!

**Q: Will it work for marine boat cable?**
A: Hi,

Base on the size of blade and precision cut, I recommend to only use the 430004 kabifix cable stripper on ROUND thermoplastic cable for example PVC & Polyurethane type jackets and not the harder material that may be found under these outer jackets for corrosion protection of the marine cables.

**Q: Roughly what is the biggest o.d cable fits into this thing?**
A: The Cable size is the opening minus the Blade depth.  About 1.5 to 1.75 Inch, also depending upon the cable hardness.  I liked using this tool once I was used to operating it properly.  Setting the Blade depth can be tricky without any scrap to test with.  Best used when you are stripping several of the exact blade depth, or buy several and set for the different cable you use.
