Put under bottom edge of monitor! *by M***E on August 5, 2023* I installed these along the bottom edge of a Dell All-In-One desktop to illuminate the keyboard. Works GREAT!. Make sure to clean the surface you going to attache them to. I used alcohol, but whatever you use, make sure it doesn't harm the surface or leave any residue. The adhesive strip worked fine for me, and I've had not issues with detaching. The bottom edge of my display hard plastic. I cut the strip to about 24 inches long. The dimmer works great and I attached it to the back side of the display with double sided tape. On the lowest setting, the light is perfect for a dim/dark room and provided plenty of illumination for typing. I NEVER use the higher settings as its just overkill brightness. If you use the entire strip, make sure your USB port can provide AT LEAST 1.5 to 2 amps. Not all computers will provide this much current to the USB port, and you may get flickering.
