Review: While pricey, it is worth it if you use the bits a lot! - Well made and very handy! Cant recommend it highly enough! It IS expensive though, as is everything with Leatherman these days. It works great though!
Review: Excellent tool to compliment your leather man - Works very well. Ratchet teeth are precise and plentiful. Item fits perfectly into the leather man surge case along with extra bits and saw blade. Really compliments the surge well and I find that the ratchet effect is far easier than trying to turn the entire tool with the classic bit extender. Works well for household tasks and I do not doubt the durability of this tool. I have no issue with the item being made in Taiwan, as Taiwanese steel is excellent and the majority of tools are also made there. I would prefer something made in the US, but it is a non issue for something so small and of such high quality. Know the limitations and use the right tool for the job, as in don’t overturn it and it shouldn’t break as some seem to worry about or suggest. I do make sure to lock the ratchet mechanism before replacing it in the leather man sheath, which I feel may prolong the tools lifespan. Overall it is an excellent tool and if it were to break in 3+ years out of warranty I would happily purchase a new one to replace it. I also really appreciate that it will work with standard bits just in case, but I do not expect to need the feature. Overall I would highly recommend this tool and I appreciate the design as it compliments my leather man surge. Unless you are planning on abusing it I would recommend it over the classic but drive extender tool, despite the short warranty period.

**Q: will this ratchet fit onto a reguler 1/4" driver slot? Want to use it on something other than leatherman.**
A: I've not tried it on anything else but my Leatherman? But to answer the question, I believe it will fit in a 1/4" drive hand tool? I would never use it in ANY battery operated tool such as an impact driver? It's not designed for that.

**Q: Why is this listed for $30 from the original source but sold for double the price here? As of April 3rd 2021.**
A: Because leatherman has had this problem for a while. Scalpers buy off all their stock and then sell for double or triple. Leatherman has tried fighting this by limiting to one to three per customer but scalpers always find a way. It's been out of stock from leatherman for a while, so have the bits. I'm sure when they are back in stock they will be bought off immediately so act fast!

**Q: Will this fit the leatherman free p4?**
A: The ratchet Driver will not fit the Free P4.. It will fit the Wave or the Wave + or the Curl or the Surge or any of the Leatherman multi-tools that incorporate the replaceable flat screwdriver blades. It can be adapted to the Leatherman tools if they do not have the flat screwdriver feature by using the "Tool adapter" that clamps over the plier feature. The adapter features a 1/4" hex drive and the ratchet driver will fit the flat driver or the hex drive insert.
