I have those new tanks and I have retrofitted them with vents to allow pouring and old-style nozzles. Be careful as the flow is quite fast when transferring. **Q: Does it have a detonator?** A: A detonator?????!!!!!!. It is for transferring gas from the tank to a vehicle. The last thing this would have is a detonator. P.S. These things are defective. I ordered one and had to get replacement because the pump didn't work. The replacement didn't work either. Buy something else. If you are like me and getting older and have trouble trying to hold up 5 gallons of fuel while trying to pour your fuel into your lawnmower with the new fuel cans then this is for you.
