The "blonde" color is somewhere between a very dark ash blonde and a light brown. So if you have medium to lighter blonde hair, neither of these colors are going to work for you. Also, my other complaint is that I hated the feel of it on my hair...sort of stick/tacky, even after it dried, and even brushing it didn't make that go away. I was careful to only use a little of it, yet it gave me very gunky feeling roots. This is not a good product. Don't waste your money!

**Q: Does it cover (lighten) dark roots in between highlights or is for covering only gray hair?**
A: I haven't tried it for that purpose. I use it to cover gray in between hair coloring sessions. Works great on part & crown.

**Q: my hair is a medium golden brown, on the dark side of medium....should I get light brown or brown/black?**
A: Light Brown. Definitely

A: it covers a broad part and small areas without hair, i imagine it would therefore cover a wider area. hold the can close to area to be covered and point it at the spot

I color my hair light/medium natural blonde, so I ordered both the "blonde" and the "dark blonde" sprays to try. Don't kid yourself for one second...the "dark blonde" is brown. Brown-brown. No blonde involved. I would say the color is about a medium ash brown. The "blonde" color is somewhere between a very dark ash blonde and a light brown.
