Review: Excellent Strings. - Bought to replace the rubber strings on my semi acoustic practice U base. They have literally transformed the instrument with an incredible improvement in sound quality. They are also much easier to play than the old rubber strings. So far they have been very durable as I have used them extensively and they are not showing any wear and they hold their tuning very well. I was a bit apprehensive about fitting steel strings to a wooden U base but they fitted very easily and I have never had a problem.

Expensive, but worth it, especially if you want to bend strings on your U-bass

Bought to replace the rubber strings on my semi acoustic practice U base. They have literally transformed the instrument with an incredible improvement in sound quality. They are also much easier to play than the old rubber strings. So far they have been very durable as I have used them extensively and they are not showing any wear and they hold their tuning very well. I was a bit apprehensive about fitting steel strings to a wooden U base but they fitted very easily and I have never had a problem.

The rubber and synthetic strings had a horrible feel. The round wound were very noisy (fret noise) these Flat wound are great.
