My main concern is their prior recalls in Canada for elevated levels of Barium which is a heavy metal. There was no recall in the US as our threshold is higher than the Canadian standard. To be fair recalls for any manufacturer across any industry are common and M&D now adheres to the stricter standard for the US as well, however, I have seen a fair amount of their toys with paint chip even after light usage. My own collection of toys for my 15 mo old have been retired as I do not want him ingesting any paint chip period.
