Serving size 1 softgel, 60 softgels per bottle, take 1 softgel 1 or 2 times per day with a meal. Tocotrienols are 40 to 60 times more effective as antioxidants than alpha-tocopherol (vitamin E), which is still the only tocopherol/tocotrienol used in all multi-vitamin pills. Recently, Japanese researchers discovered that swallowing more than a minimal amount of any tocopherol, especially alpha-tocopherol, will block tocotrienols from (1)being absorbed into the human body, (2)lowering cholesterol, preventing heart disease, and preventing stroke, (3)killing existing cancer cells and preventing cancer, (4)protecting against brain cell damage, and (5)preventing and treating diabetes. Delta-tocotrienol appears to be the most beneficial of the 4 tocotrienols. Alpha-tocopherol appears to increase bad cholesterol levels with or without the presence of tocotrienols. Alpha-tocopherol also causes tocotrienols to break down into useless chemicals.
