The Hanes was a Medium, and I think I would have needed a large in the Bali. Update: I ordered another bra and noted that the large was smaller than a previous medium I had ordered, so sizing is unreliable. The band of the new XL bra is actually 2 inches shorter than a size large (never worn, so not stretched out) that I had ordered a year or so ago. The new XL is more like a medium. So the band sizing is a bit of a crap shoot. Don't know if the cup size is also smaller, as it was too tight for my mother to even try it on. I have bought literally dozens of different styles, types, and brands. Wireless, pushup, sport, full coverage, half cup - cheap to extremely expensive. All with one thing in common claiming to be comfortable and supportive. As I am full breasted but not obese or overweight over the years they have kept upping my bra and dress size even though my measurements have remained almost identical for over 10 years, very hard on one's confidence as you get older.
